So here is this little innovation from Hyundai, titled “Nano Garden”. It’s pretty much a mini farm in your kitchen, or where ever you may feel the desire to place it.
It uses a hydroponic system to grow your garden, there is no need for dirt, harmful fertilizers or pesticides and ideally can be plumbed into your kitchen sink enabling the used water and leftovers from your sink provide water and nutrients to the hydroponics. It has an LED lighting set-up to promote plant growth, and is controllable so that you may determine the rate of growth. Its stacked, vertical design allows more growing space per square foot of floor space and with movable shelves enable you to customise it to your specific crops needs.
Hydroponic growing has been around for a long time. However, much of it comes with laborious set-up and awkward equipment strewn about. The idea with this is to make available mini-farms for purchase, much like you would purchase a fridge.
If we had one of these in every home,or every second home, the impact to the environment and our health would be a significant and positive result.
