So…what comes after the singularity?
Jason Silva poses the question and discusses ‘The Transcension Hypothesis’ by John Smart which offers an suggestion of what may come after the technological singularity and answer the question of Fermi’s Paradox, or
‘if there are all these galaxies and ‘space dudes’ progressing and evolving, why do we not see evidence of these?’
He goes on to discuss the concept some 600 odd years into the future after singularity, when our technological adolescent and expansionist explorations turn from outer space to inner space.
Our journey and understanding may well undergo compression of Space, Time, Energy and Matter (S.T.E.M compression) – until non biological minds live inside virtual worlds at the nano and femto scale Even then, further compression and complexity until we create black hole-like conditions and disappear from the visible universe (as we have come to understand it).
Fascinating concepts which can be seen in the evidence of computing in our lifespans. Where will that be in 30 years, how small will that be and how many trillion times faster – It is almost inconceivable – yet exciting!
Evolution people!
