Innovative fashion meets technology
The Dutch artist Daan Roosegaarde in conjunction with fashion designer Maartje Dijkstra, have created an sheer and saucy line of clothing becoming more like an intimate extensions of our skin.
This range they developed consists of high-tech garments that become transparent determined by the distance between the garments creating an play on the personal space of the wearers and the mood they set.
The garments are made with wireless, interactive technologies and smart foils, has the capability of fading from transparent to white and vice versa.
The illuminated rather bulbous looking globe worn around the models neck contains a wireless device which communicates with the dress using RF Transmission. When this is brought closer to the dress, the dress slowly becomes more transparent.
This stunning outfit sports some creative technology with some interesting applications – potentially not one for the office?
